She studied LLB at the University of South Africa. Practiced as Prosecutor for more than 29 years. She specialized in sexual offences, child abuse, maintenance, domestic violence, and welfare of children. Involved in the training of prosecutors and managing prosecutors in the courts. Involved in mediations in domestic violence disputes as well as disputes between learners, parents and teachers.
